TechDiversity is thrilled to announce that Miranda Ratajski, Chief Information Officer at Westpac, will be the keynote speaker at the TechDiversity Awards on May 25th.
Miranda Ratajski
Miranda is well-known in the tech industry for her ability to develop strategic and tactical direction, enabling an uplift in customer experiences. She is passionate about creating, embedding, and sustaining the right culture to deliver what customers need. She has been instrumental in driving digital innovation at Westpac, one of Australia’s largest banks, and has been recognised for her leadership in numerous industry awards.
In an article published on Westpac’s website, Miranda referenced the importance of diversity in the tech industry, calling it a double-edged sword in the fight for gender equality. She also quoted Deloitte’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion report, which found that businesses with diverse workforces are twice as likely to exceed their financial targets, three times more likely to be high performing, six times more likely to be innovative and agile in their approaches, and eight times more likely to have better business outcomes.
“The best way we can look after our customers or our stakeholders is if we have teams that look like them,” Miranda said. “They’re the ones who understand them and make sure we can give them what they need.”
TechDiversity Awards is a celebration of diversity, equity and inclusion in technology workforces across multiple industry sectors and will recognise individuals and organisations that are making a positive impact in this space. With Miranda Ratajski as the keynote speaker, attendees can expect to hear from one of the industry’s foremost thought leaders on this topic.
