2021 TechDiversity Awards, Government Category Winner

Founded in 2014, Generation is a global non-profit organisation which recruits, trains and places people into career-launching jobs. Generation’s mission is two-fold: to empower people with significant barriers to employment to build thriving, sustainable careers and to provide employers the highly skilled, motivated talent they need. Generation leverages a proven methodology, based on an extensive study of over 150 education-to-employment programs around the world, and has graduated over 50,000 participants in 16 countries.

Generation Australia launched in late 2019 to address the particularly high rate of un- and under-employment within specific under-served communities in Australia; including people with disability, First Nations people, females in tech and recent arrivals to Australia. We deliver innovative education-to-employment programs in the technology and human services sectors, which are high job growth sectors in Australia. We have supported over 800 learners since our inception, achieved an average NPS of 82 across all programs, and have achieved an employment rates in line with Generation global standards. In our technology programs, our current diversity focus is creating employment pathways for females, First Nations peoples and people living with disabilities into the tech sector.
