TechDiversity Foundation established
TechDiversity came about from people in the industry wanting to grow a thriving, innovative Australian tech workforce that embraced diversity, equity and inclusion. A place where people could share and learn about diversity in the tech sector.
The foundation created the TechDiversity Awards
Recognising that diversity, equity & inclusion in the tech workforces can be complex, the awards were to build engagement and impact in four areas; education, government, business and the media.
New team added to TechDiversity who launched the TD pledge.
TechDiversity’s day-to-day management was handed over to Best Case Scenario, a Sydney based event and marketing agency. They developed the TD pledge to give people the opportunity to make one small action and contribute to a workplace culture that attracts diverse workforces and promotes employee wellbeing. To date, hundreds have made their Tech Diversity pledge.
TechDiversity Awards added the Tech for Good category
New and innovative products and initiatives committed to creating positive social and environmental impact are entering the market daily. This category was added to shine a light on innovation driving positive change – technology being designed purposely for societal or environmental good.
Launched the TechDiversity Academy
TD Academy was a major breakthrough. Participants have access to workshops, leadership sessions, mentorships, practical DE+I frameworks, and peer-to-peer networking. A unique transformational process built on a well-thought-out program by a team of experts.
