Datacom’s First Nations ICT Trainee Programme in partnership with iDiC and JY Australia By Datacom, iDiC and JY Australia

Datacom’s Indigenous ICT trainee programme, delivered in partnership with iDiC and JY Australia, creates meaningful pathways into the technology sector for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The programme provides paid, on-the-job experience paired with industry-recognised training, mentoring and enrolment in the three-year Indigenous Development and Employment Programme (IDEP) for leadership development and cultural connection. Following its successful pilot with five trainees, Datacom is welcoming 10 more trainees in 2026, supporting long-term careers, capability building and representation in tech.
