The SAARI Collective is a media startup and social enterprise. Their mission is to amplify South Asian Australian voices, and help them to be seen, heard, successful and celebrated in Australia.

They’re a community and national media platform, and they support South Asian writers to get into the media. In just over 2 years, they’ve published over 150 South Asian Australian writers, many for the first time. They’re building the capacity of a new generation and boldly discussing the important issues that matter to us. SAARI won the 2022 Victorian Government Multicultural Awards for Excellence in Media. They were also selected as one of Google News Initiative’s News Equity Fund recipients for our work with underrepresented audiences. SAARI is an acronym for South Asian Australians Representing Ideas. They tell stories by South Asian Australians, for South Asian Australians and their friends.
